Aly and cody,
Owners
Alysia and Douglas Wheeler are the proud owners of Solstice Dance Company—and, most importantly, proud dance parents. Their vision is to create a positive, supportive environment not only for their own daughter, but for every dancer who walks through the doors.
Both serve their community—Alysia as a Registered Nurse and Douglas through active duty military service—bringing care, discipline, and strong values into the studio.
As parents, they understand the impact a studio has on a child’s confidence and growth, and are committed to building a space where dancers feel supported, inspired, and at home.
McKenna kolb,
Artistic Director/Instructor
McKenna is a passionate dance educator dedicated to inspiring confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of movement in every student she teaches. With experience in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, and tap, McKenna brings a well-rounded technical background and an energetic, encouraging approach to the classroom.
Her love of teaching comes from a deep belief that dance is more than just technique. It is a way for students to build confidence, express themselves, and develop discipline, teamwork, and artistry. McKenna strives to create a positive and supportive environment where dancers of all ages feel challenged, motivated, and celebrated for their individual growth.
Through her experience as both a dancer and instructor, McKenna is committed to helping each student reach their full potential while fostering a genuine passion for dance that lasts far beyond the studio.
Jessica Romo,
Instructor
Miss Jessica is excited to be teaching Broadway Babies, Tutus & Tap Shoes, and some of our Level A dance classes!
She's a proud mom of two girls who also love to dance, so it's safe to say dance runs deep in her family—her husband included! She's also a proud dog mom to Dudley, the family Goldendoodle, and cat mom to Ginny, their orange tabby, though "pets" might be a stretch since they're treated like family.
Her dance background includes baton, jazz, gymnastics, and cheerleading, and she's always loved anything involving movement, music, and fun. Outside of dance, she holds a degree in Early Childhood Development and spent years working with young children in the classroom.
Her favorite part of teaching is watching that first spark of excitement grow into confidence and a genuine love for dance. She can't wait for a year full of dancing, giggles, and big memories at Solstice!
Nicole Williams,
Studio Manager
Nicole Williams brings a unique blend of education, youth programming, hospitality, and leadership to her role as Studio Manager at Solstice Dance Company.
She is a proud mom to two children, one who lives to dance, shop, and hang with friends, and the other that keeps her busy with his love of baseball. She is also happily married to her best friend who is also a baseball coach at local high school.
With more than a decade working with children and families, Nicole spent 10 years with the City of Napa's after-school and summer programs, 2 years with the City of Sacramento in middle-school youth programs, and 3 years as a preschool teacher, building a deep understanding of child development and supportive learning environments.
For Nicole, the role means more than daily operations—it's about creating a welcoming, intentional experience for every dancer and family, helping each one grow into a confident, well-rounded young person.
